Responsibilities:
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and financial reporting to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Oversees the preparation and completion of journal entries related to
    • Loans Receivable Accounting
    • Store Accounting
    • Card Products (Debit and Credit cards)
    • Allowance, provision, charge-off, and recovery
  • Document and implement Accounting Policies & Procedures
  • Review the work of teammates for reasonableness and accuracy, including the review of journal entries, and/or account reconciliations
  • Participate in collaborations with Finance & Operation teams to assist with completion of assigned projects and process improvement
  • Provide support to Accounting team during annual and interim audits, researching, and providing support for audit requests as assigned
  • Serve as back up to other department staff when needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and 3 to 5 years experience in accounting required
  • Solid accounting experience and knowledge of accounting principles
  • Expert skills in MS Excel, including the ability to utilize the following functions: V-Lookup, H-Lookup, Concatenating formulas, Conditional Formatting, and Pivot Tables
  • Ability to analyze financial and operational information and determine its ultimate impact
  • Demonstrated business acumen, sound judgment and inquisitive mindset
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to see projects through to completion
  • Ability to effectively communicate and discuss financial results and analysis with all employees
  • Strong data-mining skills from both internal and external sources (i.e. SQL)
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate ownership, self-motivation and a sense of urgency
  • Flexible and agile, embraces change, and produces high quality work in an ever-changing environment
  • Highly analytical with strong problem solving and reasoning skills
  • Experience in the consumer finance industry preferred
  • Ability to multitask, effectively manage time and meet daily, monthly, and annual deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees, auditors, clients, and vendors
  • OneStream experience is a plus
  • Experience with Snowflake or Sigma is a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of securitization, special purpose entity (SPE) and variable interest entity (VIE) accounting is a plus
Base Salary: $68,000 - $90,000

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based on the U.S. average. The actual base salary offered for this full-time position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.
