General Purpose of Job:
Support Staff for Rehabilitation Department
Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Registrations.
Required:
  • Current CPR Certification or will complete within 90 days upon hire

  • Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
  • Actively working to ensure compliance with infection control and prevention practices.
  • Organizes, cleans and assists with inpatient and outpatient Rehabilitation Services for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
  • Transports patients to and from treatment sessions at the direction of the supervising clinician.
  • Assists all departments with group and individual patient care sessions including set up, direct patient care, clean up.
  • Assists the clinical staff with wound care/whirlpool set up.
  • Assists audiology with testing procedures when needed.
  • Assists all departments with large equipment set up.
  • Performs clerical duties when requested.
  • May assist with patient scheduling and registration functions.
  • Performs purchasing duties when requested.
  • Monitors and obtains linens; keeps areas throughout department stocked.
  • Provides holiday/week-end on call coverage.
  • Monitors par levels throughout department and takes appropriate action.
  • Monitors for expired items.
  • Demonstrates the ability to use computer/software applications required for the job.
  • Will occasionally drive for Driscoll Children’s Hospital business.
