MSI Express hiring a Sanitation Supervisor in Portage, IN.

The Sanitation Supervisor plans, develops, and maintains the site's sanitation programs. They will work with the site team to ensure all health and sanitation regulations are fully compliant with State and Federal regulations. They will also work independently in establishing documented sanitation processes and protocols.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accountable for a holistic plant sanitation program direction and results for plant, warehouse, and plant grounds
• Develops, recommends, and implements the sanitation and environmental health program in order to comply with federal and state health requirements
• Inspects the facilities and operations and enforces the company and our customer's environmental health rules and regulations
• Recommends actions or improvements to be made in our sanitation practices, equipment cleaning, production room sanitation, welfare areas and/or other operations affecting environmental health, allergens, food safety, and sanitation
• Works closely with engineering, production, and maintenance to identify capital expense needs for overall sanitation improvements
• Develops and and implements all sanitation related training for plant employees as required
• Conducts training programs to hourly and managerial workforces regarding food safety and environmental health programs
• Ensures that all department members are informed of their responsibility to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

Job Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in Sanitation
• 2 years of previous supervisory experience
• 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing setting
• High school diploma or GED required, undergraduate degree in business or related field preferred
• Inclination toward mechanical systems and processes preferred
