We are in the process of developing an offering for Key Account Managers (KAMs) in hematology for an expanded business opportunity with a global pharmaceutical company.

KAM Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage major account relationships, calling on Oncology Centers and academic and large community hospital systems - to expand and generate opportunities within the assigned accounts & geography.
  • Identify, contract with, or educate targeted accounts
  • Establish lines of communication with GPO, IDN, group and individual hospital, and “stake holders” as required.
  • Identify and interact with decision makers to achieve formulary access. The ability to leverage existing, institutional relationships is a critical requirement.
  • The KAM will be responsible for
    • driving new business into the assigned Regional Targeted Customers
    • geographical coverage that is Regional in nature and comprised of several US states.
    • on occasion, to complete other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned by their manager in a timely manner.
  • KAM is expected to be compliant with all company Medical, Safety, Regulatory and company policies & protocols

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required; advanced degree a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in oncology pharmaceutical sales market access, marketing and/or operations with demonstrated success is required. Hematology experience is preferred.
  • 3+ years of Account Management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, experience and understanding in contract negotiation is required.
  • Experience in navigating the hospital system marketplace and working with Executive Management strongly preferred.
  • Established relationships with key stakeholders in the Oncology Treatment Centers within the geography is a strong plus.
