Position Description
The Family Support Advocate is a field-based victim service provider who works as a part of the
overall Voice & Choice Team. The FSA is responsible for engaging and supporting caregivers
and families of child sex trafficking survivors with planning, accessing, and coordinating
resources, support, and services. The FSA will also act as a liaison between Traffick911 and
program partners to strengthen collaboration and best serve families. The FSA will be field
based and serve families in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, Ellis and Rockwall counties for
clients and caregivers of any gender identification who have been affected by sex trafficking.
This position is primarily funded through a one-year grant with organizational plans to develop
long-term sustainability.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Provide trust-based relational advocacy, emotional support, support services, and act as a
Choice team, and community support services.
- The FSA will play a pivotal role in connecting the caregiver with resources such as:
support groups, legal services, family counseling, transitional housing options, job skills
training.
- Develop and facilitate support groups for protective caregivers and guardians.
- Act as a liaison between Traffick911 and program partners, such as child protective
and relationships.
- Collaborate with caregivers to develop skills and resources to promote a healthy, safe,
- Responsible for traveling throughout all service counties for caregiver support meetings on a

- Participate in community-based interagency multi-disciplinary team (MDT) that is
prosecutorial process of trafficker; regularly communicating to a number of partners about
caregiver updates/status.
- The FSA is required to provide any helpful information, including concerns, about the

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (Masters preferred) with at least eight years of relevant
- Professional experience working with a vulnerable/high-risk youth population with complex
- Experience working with child sex trafficking survivors, adult sex trafficking survivors, victim
- Experience with Apricot Essentials case management software or similar case management

Physical Demands
Job will be performed in Traffick911 office in Addison, TX as well as traveling to various counties
surrounding Dallas/Fort Worth. Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with
disabilities to perform the described essential functions.
This employee may be called upon to serve in rotation for 24 hour on-call Crisis Response
Team and will need to be able to respond within 60-90 minutes to first responder requests. Must
be able to function and report for duty when awakened in the middle of the night.
