Job description
The Robin’s Nest Childcare Center is looking for an Infant/Toddler Assistant who can help maintain a fun, positive environment and support our teachers with nature-based activities that assist in our children’s development. You will be responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for all our enrolled children. This job involves a significant amount of dish-washing, cleaning and sanitizing, feeding children, changing diapers, and sitting on the floor.
We are a nature-based, eco-friendly, state certified childcare center that creates opportunities for autonomy, trust, & self-regulation in a home-like environment for our community’s youngest members.
Responsibilities and Duties
We are looking for an assistant who is nurturing, loves to play with children and is dependable. Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds. Must have the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks quickly and efficiently; anticipate needs before they are vocalized. Must have effective listening skills and must be a quick study. Flexibility and adaptability are highly valued attributes!
Qualifications and Skills
-Must be enrolled in the Central Background Registry (or be able to enroll within 30 days of hire)
-Must obtain First Aid and CPR Certification and Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hire
-Must obtain Child Abuse and Neglect training, Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety and Safe Sleep Training, and Prevention is Better than Treatment Training within 30 days of hire

Pay: $13.75 - $16.00 per hour
