October Cottage Eldercare is a licensed residential care home in Scandia, providing extraordinary care for our residents. Our mission is to provide a safe, healthy, nurturing family environment for our aging members of the community.

Job Description: Provide exceptional care to elderly residents in our adult foster care home.

Duties include:

• Constant supervision of residents
• Attention to all resident needs (assist with ADL’s: showering, hygiene, grooming, medication administration, mobility/ambulating assist, follow resident care plans, etc.)
• Detail recording of resident’s activities throughout day
• Preparing and serving meals
• Maintaining the cleanliness of resident areas
• Able to perform one person transfers if necessary

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

• Excellent communication skills
• Desire to improve the lives of our residents
• Empathy toward residents and sensitivity to their needs
• Able to think quickly, react appropriately and adapt to multiple situations

Required for hire:

• Experience caring for vulnerable populations with references
• Able to care for up to 5 residents
• Comfortable around pets
• Able to comply with September Cottage Eldercares policies and policies required for Adult Foster Care license through Washington County/MN Department of Human Services

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
