Job Title: BARTENDER

Department: 30 – F&B SERVICE

Reports To: FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER

FLSA Status: NON-EXEMPT

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To give the member or guest an experience that makes a positive impression by servicing them to the best of ability. To satisfy members. To be able to converse with members and guests by being friendly and treat them with respect. To accommodate all requests as possible.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keep bar fully set up at all times.
• Keep bar and work areas tidy.
• Know alcohol products.
• Keep adequate stock levels (alcohol, mixers, fresh fruit/juices/garnishes, etc.).
• Make sure glassware is clean and stocked.
• All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
