YOUR ROLE

As a Associate Data Engineer with Evergreen Nephrology, you will be an individual contributor collaborating with Leadership to aid in the implementation and ongoing expansion of Evergreen Nephrology's healthcare data platform. In this role, you will be directly involved in the development, maintenance, and support of data sourcing, ingestion, and transformation solutions that will be utilized in reporting & analytics, data science, and other consuming applications. This position will collaborate with IT team members and business stakeholders to identify required data sourcing to serve the business needs and will support the ingestion and transformation pipelines. In addition, you will be instrumental in the creation of data visualizations, reports, and exports to meet the end user's unique needs. This role is customer-focused and fast-paced, with a goal to assist in empowering the Evergreen Business users with a state-of-the-art platform to rapidly gain insights through data.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

• Work with leadership to develop technical data solutions for long-term growth to meet the ever-growing needs of the business
• Collaborate with IT architects to develop solutions that meet the business requirements
• Assist in the development, implementataion, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of the delivery of data in a systematic method
• Ensure successful delivery of data and information in support of the organization's reporting & analytics
• Perform data analysis and profiling of raw data sources
• Communicate with other BI team members, and cross-IT staff to understand needs for enhancements
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team of engineering, data science, and product management to support delivery of a new internal platform capability that developers love
• Assist with project identification and effort estimates for ETL/ELT development new data sources
• Ensure automation of the release pipeline, DevOps and QA (including performance test and chaos engineering), aid in establishing a mechanism for proactive fault detection and mitigation
• Participate in evaluation of new tools, new techniques, and strategies for delivering high quality data to users
• Gather new data pipeline export requirements and implement secure export solutions
• Translate requirements into visual representations
• Utilize Power BI to develop Operational Reports to meet end user needs
• Initiate documentation, knowledge-sharing, and creating of operating procedures
• Assist with training end users on acquiring necessary data and utilizing reports

• Two years of professional experience in a information systems management environment
• Two years experience developing, and supporting data warehouse solutions
• One year experience developing operational reports, Power BI preferred
• One year working with healthcare data
• Hands on experience working in a cloud based data platform environment, Azure and Snowflake preferred
• Strong SQL skills
• Visio experience a plus
• Proven understanding of healthcare privacy and security practices

• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar field
