ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Embody the values + guiding principles of Hotel Drover.

· Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders while acting as an extension of the Hotel Drover brand.

· Provides guidance and direction to ensure overall departmental success. Manages subordinate managers/supervisors in all 97 West, IRD, and other F&B areas as designated within Hotel Drover. Direct management includes 97 West Kitchen + Bar and IRD as well as other food and beverage activations and programming. Reports into Hotel Drover’s Director of Food & Beverage.

· People Management: Responsible for people management and development, including interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Expected to coach hourly team members and 97 West management team. Also, expected to work collaboratively with Food & Beverage and Hotel Department Heads.

· Quality of Product & Guest Experience: Responsible for SOP development, training, auditing and holding the team accountable for service standards, product knowledge, and quality of product and service. Tracks guest service scores, identify trends and opportunities, coach team members accordingly, develop and execute action plans to improve areas of opportunity. Resolves guest issues as needed. Ensures that new food and beverage product is thoughtfully merchandised and visually appealing.

· Business Operations: Responsible for scheduling and managing labor to productivity metrics and budgeted targets. Manages checkbook to ensure that Other Expenses are in line with budgeted targets.

· Operations Management: Ensures that meaningful and informative daily pre-shifts are conducted, regular department meetings are held to ensure alignment, clear communication, and regular training, and goals/department areas of focus are regularly assessed and improved upon. Ensures department follows all standard food handling, TABC, sanitation and health department guidelines. Ensures all dining and service areas are clean and properly set up. Maintains sufficient inventory of food, supplies, and equipment. Participates in weekly/monthly inventories. Prepares and submits liquor and supply orders. Ensures equipment is properly maintained.

· Project Management: Works with marketing and operations team to project manage food and beverage programming and activations as well as operational improvement initiatives; this includes but is not limited to purchasing OS&E, product development, creating operating and training playbooks, recommending menu pricing and product, etc. Ensures that action items are documented, assigned, followed up on, and executed.

· Safety: Follows all safety policies and procedures. Acts on reports of potential safety issues or whenever observed and takes immediate action to resolve in emergency situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum of 3+ years of experience as an independent or hotel restaurant General Manager

· Minimum of 5+ years in the restaurant/hospitality industry

· Full-service hotel or restaurant experience with a track record of success

· Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field desired
