This position serves as a senior technical expert supporting the WorkSource team and is directly linked to the mission and goals of the organization by ensuring the UI benefit systems continue to pay timely benefits as job seekers claim unemployment during their job search and career transitions.

This position is also a member of the Enterprise Architecture team. Incumbent is responsible for architecting, engineering, designing, implementing technical solutions for WorkSource. This position helps develop strategic planning and policies for all technologies and systems. If you are experienced in cloud-based tools and low code platforms such as Dynamics or Salesforce, and are practiced in agile IT projects and methodologies, this may be the opportunity for you!


As a Domain Architect, this position will design or evaluate the architectures across the enterprise and develop or lead others in the development of full stack solutions including Cloud technologies, Low code solutions, ASP.NET, middle tier components, databases, reports, and other enterprise solutions with an ability to work with legacy custom software.

This position is also responsible for establishing technology standards, knowledge-transfer activities, identifying and pursuing future technical trends, and contributing to a culture that people enjoy working in while delivering business value to our customers.

This project position is funded up till June 30, 2025

  • WIT replacement project application architectures and designs.
  • Enterprise architecture within the WorkSource domain.
  • Application development and support.
  • Application testing and technical documentation.
  • Application production support.
  • Consulting and mentoring.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or closely related field and 7+ years of relevant *IT experience listed

OR

Eleven (11) years of progressive professional IT experience*

OR

A combination of eleven (11) years of education and/or professional IT experience*.

  • Qualifying professional IT experience is defined as experience in one or more of the following IT disciplines:
solution architecture, application architecture, IT consulting, applications development, cloud
engineering, production systems administration, release management.

AND

  • 5 years of experience in a role as solution architect or application architect developing systems including service-oriented design and development using C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, .NET Core and/or T-SQL.
  • 4 years of experience with enterprise cloud technologies, software and data engineering disciplines on Azure or AWS platforms.
