Responsibilities:

Workflow Manager for AFWERX Headquarters, the center of innovation for the Air Force, identifying, acquiring, and integrating innovative capabilities.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
  • Organize the workflow of AFWERX as it works with leading-edge technology companies and government organizations to provide critical national capabilities.
  • Provides executive-level support in the planning and execution of the operations of the AFWERX Front Office Group (FOG).
  • Support AFWERX leadership in administering and executing tasks to maintain program schedules, records management, working across product teams, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Assists in planning and execution of the Director’s Intent. Works collaboratively with others across AFWERX and AFRL to complete assignments and plan events. Is proactive and uses considerable judgement and knowledge of AFWERX and AFRL to define and resolve highly complex and ambiguous problems.
  • Manages various activities and initiatives for the Director and senior headquarters staff with special project support and ensures long and short-term goals are being met.
  • Recommends and implements new processes, practices, and procedures that provide responsive direction to AFWERX organizations.
  • Actively manages the organizational electronic mailbox. Reviews all incoming e-mail for actions, routes e-mail to appropriate locations, and responds appropriately to correspondence on behalf of AFWERX. Ensures that internal and external requests are not missed with timely routing.
  • Primary Records Custodian for the AFWERX file plan. Develops and maintains the file plan in accordance with regulations. Acquires and files appropriate material according to the file plan.
  • Support the management of AFWERX programs through extensive program data entry and upkeep, meeting reporting requirements, tracking execution progress, and management of compliance and risks.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, organizational and workload management, and interpersonal and teambuilding skills.
  • 2 years of DoD acquisition experience or training on the DoD Acquisition Process is desired.
  • A Secret Clearance is highly preferred. People with no security clearance will be considered.
  • Able to operate independently with little supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in a business or technical field.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

This is a 100% teleworking position. Occasional travel is required to government and industry locations.
