Windows Server/Virtual Engineer
Austin TX
Hybrid: On site 3 Days a week
Work from home 1-2 Days a week
9/80 Work week-Every other Friday off
W2 Hourly Contract to Hire
$48 to $64 per hour DOE*
Are you a 'full life cycle' Systems Engineer with experience encompassing everything from design to customer satisfaction? As our Principal Systems Administrator, you'll find your work to be interesting, challenging and rewarding. You'll design, implement, secure and maintain Windows Server and VMware vSphere environments. You'll be responsible for:
- Multiple Windows Server technologies including Hyper-V, Remote Desktop Services (RDS) and Windows Failover Clustering *
- VMware/vSphere infrastructure including Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI)
- Designing and developing scripts for system administration and configuration management
- Ensuring all compliance requirements and audit efforts are met
- Interfacing with customers and ensuring customer satisfaction
For best response, make sure your resume details and highlights:
- At least 3 years experience in:
- Working with and maintaining Vsphere and Windows
- Windows Servers 2012 and above
- VMWare vSphere 7.0 and above and
- Writing and debugging PowerShell scripts for system administration
- MCSE or VCP Certifications-preferably both
- Enterprise-scale experience including Strong experience with Windows Group Policy, Active Directory, Hyper-V, Remote Desktop Services and Windows Failover Clustering
- Exceptional analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex problems and propose practical solutions
- Proficiency in architecting and deploying infrastructure technology solutions in large-scale environments
- Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM) OR comparable security implementation practices
- Working knowledge of Dell PowerEdge Server as well as VxRail
- Functional knowledge of core networking concepts including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancing, VLAN segmentation, etc.
- Strong written communication skills; must be able to write clear, concise technical documentation
- The ideal candidate will also have:
- A thirst for knowledge and be someone who proactively seeks to expand knowledge and skills through self-study and other training
- Excellent time management, decision-making, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- US Citizenship is a requirement for consideration
