We are looking for a motivated individual to fill the position of Well Performance Specialist—Production position within our ORCM EOR Business Unit in Denver City, Texas.

Essential Job Duties:

Under the general direction of the Well Surveillance Lead, the Well Performance Specialist is accountable for day to day well operations.

Main roles and responsibilities include:

1. Identify/work producing well exceptions: RT/cycle deviations (zero/very high cycles)

2. Shut in and start wells

3. Coordinate hot watering, chemical treatments, rigless jobs, etc

4. Coordinate well failure activities, which includes:

• Identify, validate, and react to well failures
• Determine if variance is a downhole, surface, or POC issue
• Communicate with Production Fluid Analyst (PFA) and/ or Pump Off Controller/Injection Well Controller (POC/IWC) Techs on well issues as appropriate
• Execute displacement changes (Stroke Length – SL, Stroke Per Minute - SPM)

5. Operate and coordinate maintenance of POC/IWCs, which includes:

• Resolve well and hardware alarms

6. Responsible for accurate and timely well tests and downtime, which includes:

• Validate tests & troubleshoot variances
• Coordinate resolution of problems with PFAs

7. Identify Production Opportunities for well and lease-level variances

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• 2 years of college with a math/science focus preferred
• 3 or more years of Oilfield Surface Production preferred
• 1-2 years of producing well surveillance/optimization. Plungers, beams and flowing wells preferred

Skills & Competencies:

• Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent interpretation knowledge of production plots
• Proactive on issue identification and resolution
• Interpretation of Dynamometer cards and ESP pump curves
• Well volume calculations
• Good understanding of beam lift basic maintenance and troubleshooting
• Understanding of gas-well liquid loading mechanisms, inflow performance, and be able to troubleshoot wells on the basis of tubing and casing pressures and flow performance.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet the objectives of the job and the team
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Organizational skills
• Experience with Lowis and Nexus

This role must be performed from West Texas.
