PDQ Skilled Trades is currently hiring MIG & Flux-core Welders for our client located in the Saginaw, Texas area. Our client provides railcar products and services across North America.2nd Shift:
5:00pm – 3:30am, Monday – Friday
12:00pm – 6:00pm, Saturdays Overtime
Pay:
- $20.75/per hour
- Paid weekly
Responsible for applying appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal according to blueprints, layouts, schematics or work orders using manual, automatic welding, and/or semi-automatic welding equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hand weld in all positions, fillet and groove
- Perform repairs to sub-assemblies for final product
- Perform oxy-fuel welding
- Perform carbon arc welding
- Conduct one or two NDE tests
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must have at least 2 years of MIG, FCAW (2G, 3G, and 4G) & cutting torch experience.
- Ability to weld out of vertical & overhead positions.
- Must have experience working with blueprints, layout, schematics or work orders.
- Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled atmosphere.
- May require extensive kneeling, bending and standing for long periods of time.
- May require working in narrow or confined work spaces for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects comfortable with heights.
