Summary/Objective:
The Welder is responsible for adding value in the process flow by accurately assembling various components and/or sub-assemblies into specified fixturing and joining by welding or repairing defective welds per blueprints. This position applies trade skills to a variety of welding jobs on ferrous and nonferrous metals.
Required Education and Experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
Essential Functions:

- Observance of all safety rules and policies maintained by the company.
- Maintenance of a clean and organized workspace and Plant proper.
- Picking and placing components or subassemblies into proper fixturing and joining by the application of GMAW (Gas-Metal-Arc Welding) and/or GMAW (Gas-Metal-Arc Welding).
- Exercising product and process knowledge to identify out-of-conformance situations and alert supervisor or lead of these situations in a timely manner.
- Rotation of position into different production teams as is necessary to meet production schedules and Company goals in general.
- Maintenance of good housekeeping practices always.
- Ability to set up welding equipment including changing gas
- Read blueprints and tape measure
- Ability to work a 6:00 am - 4:30 pm shift Monday - Thursday with the possibility of additional shift on Friday as needed due to production schedules.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly talk and listen. The team member must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently. Must have excellent vision either naturally or with correction. Must be able to stand for long periods; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl to reach hard to get at work areas; and use hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects. Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures.

This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are decided by production or Management
