Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Five years of website management, including hands on web development.
  • Two years of experience managing a website, including templating, navigational structure and custom modifications are essential.
  • Proven SEO experience, and the ability to train internal clients on how to improve position is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required as is the ability to be a collaborative team player and contribute creative ideas in a team setting.
  • The ability to facilitate the entire web development process end-to-end, including design, development and deployment of visual enhancements, features and functionality is required.
  • The ability to produce wire-frames, and establish guiding website architecture/navigation is imperative.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Desired Qualifications
  • Understanding in The WCAG 2.2 Accessibility Guidelines and proficient in content management systems.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.. Understanding of back-end Web technologies and standards, including HTML 5, JavaScript ES6+ (ReactJS is a plus), experience with a modern SCSS framework such as Foundation 6 or Bootstrap, XML, PHP, MySQL, and other languages is a must.
  • Ability to design and implement user-friendly, innovative, and stylish Websites needs to be showcased.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, computer science, information technology or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with TerminalFour CMS is a plus.
  • XSLT Styling Language experience.
  • Experience in migrating a website from one CMS to another

Position Purpose
Lead front and back-end design, development, and support of university Web sites, and provide technical support to university personnel using this technology. Improve user experience on OU’s Web sites. Engage in interactive planning and consulting to offer creative Web development ideas that support the university’s marketing goals. Analyze Web usage trends through Google Analytics and retool Websites accordingly. Work with the Art Director to ensure consistency of look among print and Web components. Create Web sites that adhere to university’s design standards and technical policies. Act as lead technical liaison with CMS vendor and other university technical personnel.
