Entech Instruments is a leading developer and manufacturer of analytical instrumentation, supporting professionals worldwide in Environmental Air Monitoring, Soil & Water Testing, Industrial Hygiene, Food Safety, Flavor & Aroma R&D, Material Emissions Testing, Forensic Investigation, and Clinical Analysis. Our focus is on creating inert air and gas sample collection equipment, chemical extraction and preconcentration technology, and GC/MS sample preparation and introduction technologies.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Web Developer and Front-end UI Designer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing visually appealing and user-friendly websites using Word Press, including experience and development of a robust WooCommerce cart. The ideal candidate should have expertise in front-end development, UI/UX design, and proficiency in Word Press. The position will be onsite for 2 days a week for the first month, but may then transition to full-time remote work based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop visually appealing and user-friendly websites using Word Press and WooCommerce
• Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and provide design and development solutions
• Develop and maintain website functionality and ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Create responsive designs that are optimized for various devices, including desktops, tablets, and mobile devices
• Ensure website performance and accessibility
• Optimize website speed and search engine optimization (SEO)
• Maintain and update existing websites and troubleshoot issues
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in web development and UI/UX design
• Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure website functionality and user experience

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Web Developer and Front-end UI Designer with expertise in Word Press and WooCommerce
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS
• Some knowledge and working experience with JavaScript and PHP a plus.
  
• Proficient in Word Press customization and development
• Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and practices
• Familiarity with website optimization techniques for speed and SEO
• Knowledge of website security best practices
• Experience with version control (Git) and project management tools
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or related field or significant demonstrable experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Web Development and Front-end UI Design with Word Press and WooCommerce
