Compliance Officer
London
As a Barclays Compliance Officer, you will support the Chief Compliance Officer for Barclays UK through delivery of the Barclays UK Compliance plan. You will have a particular focus on oversight of the Barclays UK Wealth Management & Investments (WM&I) business, incorporating review of distribution channel for investment and pensions products and services offered by Barclays. You will work with business stakeholders and the Barclays Compliance teams to oversee the delivery of business strategy.

• Providing day-to-day compliance and conduct oversight of the Barclays UK business, with a focus on the oversight of the Barclays UK WM&I business
- Providing conduct related guidance and advice on the development of products, services and supporting technologies including an assessment of related regulatory risks
- Identifying, managing and escalating conduct risks and risk themes within the business
- Maintaining an awareness of the Barclays UK business strategy to ensure robust oversight is provided and lead for Compliance on projects of strategic importance for the business
- Demonstrating ownership of issues and breaches, ensuring they are logged and tracked to conclusion and escalated to senior management where appropriate
- Assisting in the successful oversight of the One Compliance Risk Assessment and Risk and Control Self-Assessment for a given coverage area
- Supporting regulatory information requests ensuring all requirements are responded to, logged and actions satisfactorily met
- Contributing towards relevant external consultations, discussions and policy debates as required, providing input on assigned Policy and Standards as required

- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience
