About the Client:

We are working with multiple fire, water, and mold restoration construction companies in Shasta County seeking mitigation technicians.

About the Position:

We are recruiting experienced mitigation candidates but entry level candidates with construction experience are welcome to apply. Training will be provided per the specifications of each client. Due to the nature of the business and their clientele, pre-employment screenings are required by the clients.

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

Assist in retaining customers by fulfilling the company's obligations through the timely and effective delivery of our cleaning, repairing, and restoration services

Follow client uniform policy

Perform basic equipment maintenance

Complete work orders

Complete appropriate restoration documentation

Keep a clean and neat jobsite at all times while leaving a first-class impression of our work

Become proficient in water restoration, mold remediation, and fire damage clean-up

Establish and maintain a schedule to ensure all services are delivered in a timely manner

Respond to all jobs and initiate procedures according to IICRC standards and clients process

Communicate with customers about scope of work and review necessary paperwork

Maintain all company restoration equipment, keeping them clean and properly maintained to be available at all times

Perform marketing tasks and additional services as required

Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions

Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds alone or more with help with no restrictions

Excellent communication skills

Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles

Maintain inventory of supplies

Maintain timely and effective communication and flow of information with Lead Technicians, Supervisors, or Managers

Determine the sequence of steps to be taken when delivering the company's services at the customer's property

Shows respect when addressing customers and superiors

Able to effectively respond to excited customers

Qualifications:

A background in construction, demolition, drywall, painting, remodeling, and related experience is preferred

Oral Communication - Speaks clearly

Adaptable and able to think on his/her feet

Written Communication - writes clear and accurate job notes and emails

Technical - Is appropriately trained and/or certified and effectively performs all production work within the water mitigation division

High school diploma (or GED)

Mathematical Skills - Adequate math skills - Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units

Computer Skills

Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity

Understand and become proficient in the use of software systems (e.g. Fusion, MICA, Moisture Mapper)

Certification in performing appropriate services: Water Mitigation (IICRC WRT and ASD), Mold (IICRC AMRT), etc. (Not required but needs to have the desire to eventually acquire certifications)

Possess and maintain valid California Driver's License with insurable driving record/clean driving record

Shift:

Monday-Friday typically but after hours/weekend work in emergency situations

Compensation:

Varies depending on client and experience but starts at, at least, $17.00 per hour
