Job Description: Provides direction/guidance to the Inventory Control team who is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts of all items and locations, researching, troubleshooting and resolving any inventory discrepancies and analyzing product specifications and sales history to determine the best pick location for all items.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Promotes teamwork.
  • Communicates with Manager on problems and needs.
  • Issues verbal instructions to team members.
  • Develops and relays improvements to Manager.
  • Examines work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Ensures work area is clean, neat and organized each day (i.e., boxes, bins, sweeping, and all trash). Daily paperwork is filed neatly and is organized according to Department procedures.
  • Assists slotting analysts with solving problems when needed.
  • Ensures regularly scheduled cycle counts are being performed by location, product number and description.
  • Communicates effectively with members of external Departments in regards to processes affecting inventory accuracy.
  • Assists in the monitoring of locations throughout company where inventory may be affected.
  • Monitoring of inventory in external Departments and performing audits in those locations.
  • Assists Department Manager in ensuring all inventory transactions are handled efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensures KACE Ticket queue is worked in a timely manner.
  • Assists in training, cross-training and development of members of the Slotting team.
  • Reports a daily count of previous day’s activity and activity performed regarding inventory adjustments.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 1-3 years of experience in related role or leading a team preferred.
  • Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills, to include ability to understand management directives and to lead associates in complying with these directives to meet the daily business needs of the company.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, with little notice and including Saturdays.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and ability to take initiative.
  • Must be responsible, enthusiastic, trustworthy and able to multi-task and work with minimum supervision.
