The Shipping Lead is responsible for the supervision of production within the shipping department as well as making sure that all finished product meets the customer’s expectations before shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following: other duties may be assigned

• Train, directs, and develops employees to meet all safety and quality standards within their area
• Supervises the employees to ensure the quality’s product and integrity, as well as ensure all finished product meets and exceeds the customer’s requirements
• Implement efficient ways to increase production
• Other duties may be assigned by the Shipping Supervisor when necessary

Qualifications and Demands:

The individual must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with employees both individually and within a group setting. Must possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills; must also possess basic computer skills. The individual must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, as well as perform all the physical tasks necessary to complete the job successfully.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or at least 6 months of job-related experience; or a combination equivalent of education and experience. Experience within a leadership role is strongly preferred but not required.
