Job Duties

  • Oversees warehouse operations and employee performance on assigned shift
  • Ensures that safety, quality and performance/productivity and customer experience standards are met
  • Uses strong leadership skills to communicate with and motivate employees
  • Creates employee schedules and uses reporting systems to provide data and metrics as requested
  • Safely operates essential warehouse equipment, including forklifts, wrap machines and other automation
  • Ensures that the warehouse is kept neat and orderly to promote safe and efficient operations
  • May fill in for the Warehouse Manager as needed to cover absences
  • Assists in setting goals, including those relating to operational performance, safety and regulatory standards
  • Maintains favorable working relationships with employees and customers to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and implementing in partnership with other members of leadership
  • Trains newly hired employees and other personnel as assigned

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Some college education preferred
  • 1-3 years experience leading, coaching and developing staff preferred
  • Previous experience in warehousing and/or distribution preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with and understand retailers and co-workers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfort working independently, exercising sound judgment and take initiative.

Physical Demands and Requirements

  • Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching and twisting for shifts lasting 8+ hours
  • Ability to lift and carry 40lbs regularly
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move 25lbs, occasionally lift and/or move 100lbs
  • Comfort working in refrigerated areas of the warehouse

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation range: $45,000 to $54,000 per year, plus up to $6,000 per year bonus eligibility

(Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.)

This position is eligible for the following benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Basic AD&D Life Insurance, Voluntary Life Insurance, Spousal Life Insurance, Child Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, 401(k) with company match and profit-sharing.
