Warehouse Operative - Inventory

Reporting to the Logistics Controller - Inventory, this role will ensure the safe and accurate storage of client owned material at the warehouse facility or send for storage offsite at a 3rd party vendor. Completing all aspects of the Inventory function in line with Asco and the Clients processes and procedures, ensuring safety and service excellence. Previous logistics experience is desirable.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Update and maintain the short term storage register

* Checking Work orders, stock movements, returns, items for repair, scrap disposal and Stock counts

* Delivery of Stock accuracy utilising SAP system to maintain an accurate and auditable record

* Put away and Picking of Material ensuring all paperwork is accurate and all systems work complete

* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client contacts

* Preparation for shipment functions in line with agreed procedures

* Investigate discrepancies

* Accurately complete all documentation pertaining to the shipment of material

* Awareness of Dangerous Goods and requirements for their shipment, handling and storage

* Understand role-related procedures and review and comply with work aids and risk assessments

* To contribute and raise safety observations

* Always contribute towards high standards of housekeeping being maintained within all areas

* Ensure that all procedures, standing instructions and safety standards are always complied with

* Ensure compliance regarding legislative standards as required by company and client procedures

* Ensure the correct use of Forklifts and Lifting equipment as set out in legislative and procedural policy

* Numerate and literate

* Solutions based with strong planning, organising and numeric skills, and an excellent attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications

* 0-5T Reach Truck and 0-15T Counterbalance Forklift Truck

* Dangerous Goods Awareness and COSHH Awareness
