Merola Tile is a leading national tile distributor that proudly imports high quality, on-trend and emotionally inspiring tiles from around the world to suit a diverse flooring market.

The NJ Division of Merola Tile employs approximately 135 people and distributes tile in the U.S. and Canada through The Home Depot, independently owned tile showrooms, and numerous e-commerce retailers under the Merola Tile, SomerTile, and Elite Tile brand names. Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse departments– Allocate personnel accordingly
• Hire/Train and develop Warehouse Employees
• Ensure that all company policies are enforced
• Report/Correct any and all safety concerns/violations
• Promote a positive and team-oriented work environment
• Conduct monthly meetings with all personnel to increase employee engagement
• Run Daily Reports to monitor Production Rates
• Manage relationships with all outside vendors/customers
• Assist in performing daily cycle counts and addressing any inventory discrepancies
• Create and implement SOP’s for all the warehouse departments
• Coach supervisors and leads through work challenges
• Responsible for handling the opening/closing of the building daily
• Communicate effectively between all departments company wide
• Focus on improving the overall customer experience
• Price shop supplies/materials to guarantee quality and service of goods
• Coordinate scheduling of all work-related trainings
• Perform employee reviews
• Order and Maintain proper supply levels
• Improve processed with the warehouse
• Coordinate with other warehouse manager
• Filter, Prioritize, Schedule and oversee Maintenance tasks and projects

Competencies

• Work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Able to read and write in English.

Physical Demands

• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 75 lbs. several times during the shift.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend, and twist without restrictions.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.

• Frequently work in environment with extreme temperatures. Our warehouse is not climate-controlled. This includes sometimes being exposed to the outdoor environment.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
