Position Responsibilities

• Use Warehouse Management Systems and Labor Management systems to promote efficiency and productivity at the plant warehouse
• Coordinate warehousing operations and production needs
• Maintain loading, unloading, and scheduling of product or ingredients to meet plant and corporate goals
• Oversee shipping/receiving operations to provide material handling and service
• Maintain warehousing rotation and hold programs
• Periodically audit inventory for accuracy and obsolete product
• Enforce the plant's safety program including good GMP's
• Monitor warehousing area and employees to eliminate work hazards and unsafe acts
• Train, motivates, and monitors performance of warehousing employees
• Recognize good performance and take corrective action when needed
• Engage the workforce to improve safety, quality, and delivery programs
• Develop plant warehousing strategies observing CPS
• Manage all warehouse resources to achieve and maintain warehouse financial and productivity budgets and goals
• Execute cost savings and service improvement opportunities across the campus and distribution network
• Meet established inventory accuracy goals

Position Qualifications

• 3+ years Supply Chain experience (Warehousing, Transportation, Sales & Operations Planning, Customer Service)
• Excellent Competence in business systems and SAP
• Participate in plant CPS activities
• Be a resource or ensure resources are available for 24/7/365 coverage
• Take ownership all areas of warehousing in a seasonal food production plant
• Experience using tools such as statistics, labor tracking, inventory control, project planning to identify opportunity areas
• Partner with other departments to resolve complex problems and work together to find solutions
• Understanding of Continuous Improvement processes and the ability to improve us through these efforts
• Ensure training is completed to levels that promote operational efficiency
• 5-10% travel
