Ramrod Distributors, a cleaning supplies distributor serving Chicagoland since 1947, has an exciting new opportunity for a Warehouse Associate who is also able to be a backup Route Driver and Equipment Repair Technician as needed, working from our Elk Grove Village, IL warehouse. In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Warehouse - maintaining inventory, assisting with receiving, shipping, movement of product throughout the warehouse as well as general warehouse upkeep.
• Backup Driver - backup our FT route driver as needed, willing/able to make daily deliveries and pickups to Ramrod customers/vendors in a safe, timely and professional manner. Your role is to positively represent the company with customers and vendors.
• Equipment Repairs – repairing and maintaining janitorial equipment for customers on-site and at customers’ location. Will train as needed.
• General handy man, warehouse and office, special projects as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

Warehouse:

• Detail-oriented, with an understanding of part numbers, inventory quantities and how it applies to project orders.
• Strong attention to detail with data and computer accuracy.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence.
• Must be in good physical condition, able to load/unload boxes/pallets from truck. Boxes may weigh up to 50 lbs. Pallets of ice melt weigh up to 2,000 lbs.

Driver:

• Class C (non-CDL) driver license
• Clean driving record – no tickets
• Able to manage and organize daily routine to ensure all deliveries are made.
• Works independently and able to locate delivery/pick-up addresses as needed.
• Loading/unloading boxes/pallets by hand and with pallet jack.
• Experienced with lift gate,

Equipment Repairs:

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Enjoys repairing small engines and equipment.
• Willing to complete training on equipment as needed.
• Continue to acquire knowledge related to the equipment you will be repairing and work to improve capabilities.
• Maintains accurate documentation on all repairs.
• We will train

General:

• Willing and able to always maintain a professional image, with customers and vendors.
• Coachable, takes direction well.
• Must be able to handle and load case goods or equipment for deliveries or installations that can weigh up to 95 lbs.
• Successful background check including employment verification, eligibility for rehire from past employers, pass drug test. No prior termination for cause.

Reporting To: Warehouse Manager

Schedule:

• Warehouse Days – 8:30-5:00 pm
• Delivery Days – 7:30-3:30 or until route is completed.
• Office hours 8:30-5:00.
