Position Overview

The Production Runner position is a seasonal, hourly position that works primarily only on concert days within the Local Crew team. The production runner provides support to the Artist Service Coordinator helping to execute logistics and secure hospitality services. This position typically starts in April and concludes in late October.

Requirements:


Principal Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Display a professional and personable attitude with touring and venue personnel
  • Deliver and retrieve items from local stores, vendors, airports, hotels, laundry
  • Provide local area information to touring personnel.
  • Maintain cash and receipts throughout the day.
  • Assist with miscellaneous production projects as directed.
  • Provide transportation for personnel throughout the show day (may be personal vehicle or large
  • Rental van/car)
  • Assist production staff with production-related duties backstage throughout the show day.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with teammates, fellow staff members from other departments, vendors, patrons, and tenants of leased spaces.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain security and safety requirements as defined by operations guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures


Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license, operational cell phone and reliable transportation.
  • Thorough knowledge of the local area, including area businesses & locations
  • Safe driving habits extremely important.
  • Friendly and personable, works well with others.
  • Must have consistent availability during the primary months of the season (April-October). Available for long shifts, including nights and weekends (typical show day runs about 16-18 hours)
  • Must be able to comfortably lift 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional work conduct around visiting artists, touring personnel, and VIPs.
  • Must be able to respond to emails, phone calls, texts in a timely manner.

Education, Training, Traits

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Comfortable with consistently adhering to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics and confidentiality.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to interact with many different types of people
  • An on-going desire to learn and improve
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • COVID-19 Vaccination strongly preferred.
  • Must be available to attend in-person orientations and trainings (Early April) at Walmart AMP.

Work Experience

  • Previous production running experience or work within a concert or live entertainment setting preferred.

Physical

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly (on telephone)
  • Must have a working cell phone and be willing to install basic applications and be willing to use it for work purposes (Shiftboard, Paylocity)
  • Must be able to endure sitting or standing for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to endure standing or walking for extended periods of time on various surfaces such as concrete, grass, and inclined surfaces.
  • Must be able to endure outdoor elements including cold, heat, wind, and/or precipitation
  • Must be able to work in large, crowded environments, with flashing lights, loud music and noises, pyrotechnics, and cannons as part of shows and events
