Overview

Responsible for providing support and administrative assistance to the regional volunteer services program.
Responsibilities

Manages volunteer application process including working with volunteers to get digital copies of documents or coordinating drop offs and mailings of physical materials as required from local care centers.
Supports volunteer onboarding, document collection, application process, reference and background checks, training, and public health related requirements manually and uses software platforms and vendors leveraged by the company for the volunteer program.
Utilizes electronic platforms to onboard and inactivate/reactivate volunteers.
Assists with Covid-19 tracking process.
Develops and leads training content for volunteers including new volunteer orientation and any ongoing compliance or skills training in coordination with clinical regulatory team and with oversight of volunteer program leadership.
May support social media and other digital recruiting for volunteer opportunities in coordination with program leadership.
Supports and develops reporting and trending related to volunteer program recruitment, retention, and activities levels.
Answers central volunteer related central support email and phone call to provide triage and support for immediate questions from field volunteers or coordinators looking for program support.
Provides virtual coverage for volunteer coordinator activities as needed.
Maintains the Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer Program in support of the assigned care centers' participation in We Honor Veterans.
Complies with policies, procedures and regulatory mandates including but not limited to abiding to the terms of the Amedisys Compliance Program.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required
Bachelor's degree, or at least (3+) years' experience in a related field may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Knowledge of grief and bereavement counseling; understanding of physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of terminally ill patients and their caregivers.
Must be familiar with general use and functions of computer; internet; e-mail; navigation/starting programs. Self-manage online HR services and training. Preferred
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Thanatology or related field or Pastoral education with documented evidence of training and experience in grief therapy and bereavement counseling.
Familiarity with HR, Regulatory Policies and Procedures.
