HelpMeVG has partnered with a company that is looking for a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Engineer.
As a VoIP Engineer, the individual will monitor and control the performance and status of voice and video resources across multiple enclaves and locations utilizing software and hardware tools. In this role, the Engineer will configure and install VoIP hardware/software replacements and upgrades. In addition, the individual will work to ensure all voice applicable STIGs and vulnerabilities are resolved or mitigated in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and diagnoses problems and factors affecting voice services
- Troubleshoots voice related issues and outages, which may occur during non-core hours
- Works with vendors in support of the ITCSU
- Ensures all voice applicable STIGs and vulnerabilities are resolved or mitigated in a timely manner
- Performs preventative maintenance services on all devices within the VoIP area of responsibility
- Maintains a current understanding of emerging technologies and trends in voice and video services
- Performs other tasks as required by company and the Government contracting office
Required Qualifications/Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of experience designing, building, and/or maintaining communications systems with minimum of one (1) year experience with CISCO Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Version 10.5 or newer
- Knowledge of cable management and patching with Ethernet and analog phones
- Prior experience with SIP, SCCP, MGCP, PSTN, and H.323
- Must be a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), preferably CCNA Routing and Switching and/or CCNA Collaboration
- Must be DoD 8570 certified at the IAT-II / IAM-II level.

- Must have and maintain a Secret personnel clearance; and must be eligible for a TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications/Education and Experience
- Prior experience with Cisco Unity, Cisco Presences, Cisco Emergency Responder, and Cisco UCCX
