Vocational Rehabilitation - Minot, ND - Regional Administrator

Help lead the team that helps North Dakotans who are differently-abled experience a critical part of anyone’s life – a job. ND Department of Health and Human Services Vocational Rehabilitation is seeking a Vocational Rehabilitation Regional Administrator.

As the Regional Administrator, you will lead a team of counselors dedicated to working with teens and adults who have disabilities to achieve their employment goal and increase their independence. In addition to leading a team, you will maintain a small case load and assess, counsel, refer, coach and train as well as facilitate job placements. You will develop and maintain close working relationships with service providers, employers, and referral sources, as well as expand your impact through outreach in rural counties within the Minot region and school districts.

To succeed in this position, you should have a strategic mindset, be able to build and manage a healthy, collaborative team culture, influence and engage stakeholders and be able to drive results.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Administration/Services, Psychometrics, Behavioral Health, Behavioral Science, Disability Studies, Human Relations, Human Services, Marriage and Family Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Special Education or Vocational Assessment/Evaluation AND three years of related work experience in a specific health/human service program area that involved lead work or supervisory work experience. A master’s degree in a field related to the position’s program responsibility area may substitute for two years of the work experience requirement.

The preferred candidate will have certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) or be willing to obtain as a condition of employment. Location:

ND DHHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position will work in person in the Minot Vocational Rehabilitation office, but may work remotely from home occasionally.
