Duties
- Working with children ages 2-9 years old
- Assisting lead and teacher assistants in classrooms when needed
- Must be able to assist throughout the school (giving 10-minute breaks and lunch breaks)
- Must be positive, patient and energetic
- Must be a team player and open to help co-workers when necessary
- Must be able to help teach children independence and grace and courtesy (basic clean-up skills and proper classroom etiquette)
- Must help maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment for students in the classroom. This includes helping children with hygiene (hand washing, changing out of dirty clothing), helping open food, keeping classroom orderly, cleaning bathroom, sink areas, light mopping, sweeping and vacuuming is required.
- Must be willing to learn the basic understanding of the Montessori Method
Requirements
- Must be willing to obtain a background check and Sheriff's card and negative TB test before start date
- Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Willing to complete additional training requirements mandated by the State of Nevada
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be reliable and dependable
