Job Summary

This position is for the Virtualization Engineer role supporting and backing up the Senior Virtualization engineer within the Configuration Management team. Key responsibilities will be supporting the day-to-day management of existing and upcoming virtual environment to include but not limited to, Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Netscaler, Microsoft AVD/W365 and supporting infrastructure and technology. The candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge of Virtual environments to support activites from the Endpoint Incubation team, support and empower our Level 2/Ops and Servie Desk teams, and to engage and articulate clearly with other support teams to identify solutions.

Major Responsibilities:

• Supporting initiatives and efforts from the Endpoint Incubation team
• Building detailed and thorough documentation for support of responsible technologies
• Support Endpoint Engineering teams with any issues with respective technology
• Train, Support, and empower Level 2 and Service Desk team members on responsible technology
• Mentor and Guide Level 2 Techs and other Technology teams on Network Operations Center Calls during outages and user impact issues
• Support migrations to new technology and platforms
• Build and implement necessary and effective monitoring solutions of key infrastructure and endpoint clients to ensure consistent user experiences and to minimize downtime/outages
• Building dashboards to visualize meaningful metrics surrounding the environment, infrastructure, and user experience for respective technologies

Qualifications:

• Strong Working knowledge of Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp technologies with a companion VMWare virtualization framework.
• 5-7 years experience with a Primary focus in Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp
• Strong analytica and resolution skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience preferred
• 3-4 years' experience with Intune, Azure, AVD/W365, O365 administration and automation desirable.
• Strong working knowledge across all key Citrix/Virtualization infrastructure components from Licensing, storefront, Controllers, Director, etc. to Netscaler/ZScaler and the like
• Working knowledge of Netscaler technology for remote access a plus but not required).
• Experience with VMWare, hypervisor, Vspher building VM's, taking/managing snapshots, hot/cold add of compute, etc.
• Experience with both persistent and non-persistent desktop deployment types
• Strong communication & leadership skills that will allow this candidate to integrate with other team members, Level 2, service desk, and other support teams within the organization
• Strong system documentation and communications skills to train and empower other support teams as well as build strong supporting documentation and diagrams.
• Ability to work well under pressure and deliver on tight and sometimes short deadlines

The typical base pay range for this role is between $110K - $145K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
