Position: Tech Support - “Off-Grid Solar” Specialist

Salary & Benefits: $50-70K Base Salary (Depending On Experience) plus Standard Holidays.

About Us

RICH SOLAR is the leader in off grid solar equipment. We are based in Ontario, California, and are looking for a full time Solar Tech to help resolve tech support issues via phone/email/ and in person for our RV/Van Life/Off-Grid Customers.

This is a position with lots of opportunity for growth, in the fast-growing industry of renewable energy.

Your goal will be to provide knowledgeable technical support and guidance to recommend solar kits, product combinations, and troubleshooting common connection issues.

Typical Tech Support questions that arise are:

• What size off-grid solar kit do I need to power all of my appliances?
• What compatible Rich Solar products do you offer that I can add to my existing setup (including products from other off-grid solar companies).
• Why is my solar setup not working properly or at all?
• What accessory or connection am I missing?

Primary Responsibilities and Experience Requirements:

• Available to work full-time in our Ontario office (REQUIRED).
• Solar Installation and/or Electrical experience (REQUIRED).
• Support ticket software experience is preferred but not required, as you can be trained on the job (FreshDesk, ZenDesk etc.).
• An eager enthusiasm to help our customers troubleshoot technical questions daily.
• Great leadership skills, effective communication, and friendly attitude.
• A strong interest in becoming an expert in off-grid and backyard solar (i.e. Motorhomes, RV’s, Van Life, Tiny Homes, Off-grid Cabins, Camping Power Solutions, Work Vehicles, Backyard Ponds and Fountains, City Traffic Signals etc.).
• Ability to learn our software programs to track data and keep things organized for the team using MS Word, Excel.
• Ability to learn fast, work efficiently, and collaborate with our sales, and customer service teams.
• Maintain customer satisfaction standards for our customers.
