Description:

This position is for a highly motivated individual responsible for delivering and facilitating effective sales and customer training classes to a variety of audiences ranging from new sales hires to experienced pipe fitters. The Sales Trainer conducts pre-class set-up and communications along with post-class follow-up communications with learners and stakeholders to ensure learning objectives are being met. The Sales Trainer will collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and trainers in the delivery and development of best-in-class learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Champion the mission and vision of the organization through strong facilitation of key training programs.
• Ensure the effectiveness of training by properly preparing, organizing, and delivering best-in-class learning experiences for our sales representatives and customers.
• Aligns training activities with the overarching goals and strategies of the Company.
• Provides direct support, coaching and motivation which may include telephone calls, attending sales calls and/or traveling to different regions to conduct training onsite.
• Builds and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts including sales, engineering, and operations to form a seamless integration of service delivery.
• Builds and maintains knowledge of our organization, our products and services, and the customers and industries that we serve by participating in educational opportunities, studying course materials, reading trade publications, participating in relevant organizations, and networking with industry professionals.
• Inspires and enables others to become highly proficient at installing, demonstrating, and selling Victaulic’s products and concepts.
• Design & develop training courses based on the needs of the business and industry.
• Proactive in learning about and staying on top of trends in learning and the industry.

Qualifications:

• 3 plus years’ experience in training, learning and development or education.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience.
• Thrive in a team environment and build relationships to accomplish team tasks.
• Exceptional listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Possess the desire and ability to learn new material and concepts on an ongoing basis.
• Strong facilitation skills with the ability to command & control the audience.
• Excellent decision-making abilities integrating information and utilizing sound judgment.
• Flexible and agile, pivoting to changing business needs/priorities.
• Thinks critically and creatively to solve problems and develop solutions.
• Self-starter with strong, effective time management and organization skills.
• Construction industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
