Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Information Technology heads the Information Technology department for PSI, a U.S. public company/Sarbanes–Oxley environment with domestic and international customers and suppliers.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the strategic IT plan and its tactical and operational execution to support a mid-market, publicly traded, engineering design and manufacturing firm with eight locations and 800 workstations spread across the US running Epicor. Identify opportunities to utilize technology to deploy the business plan. Prioritize system and software projects, approved change requests, and reports to maximum value to PSI. Oversee the preparation of business cases including project charter, cost justification, approval paperwork, 3rd-party package selection recommendations and other documents as needed.
  • Hire, train, coach, and manage an integrated IT team establishing performance standards, evaluating individual and team performance, ensuring company policies are adhered to, and meeting leadership’s goals using PSI’s IMPACT values (Innovation, Motivation, Passion, Accountability, Communication, Trust). Ensure excellent communication and knowledge transfer between the IT teams and the heads of business units and the wider end user population.
  • Provide support for the integration and implementation of all PSI’s IT platforms.
  • Manage the applications development team (Business Analysts & Programmers) in providing new or existing software offerings to satisfy PSI’s business needs. Closely collaborate with other functional areas, including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, sales, supply chain, HR, Aftermarket, and finance/ accounting, to understand their processes and data needs. Use the translated business requirements to leverage Epicor and other software applications to improve their operations and contribution to PSI’s growth and profitability goals.
  • Guide the team managing the technical infrastructure and end user computing function, developing SLAs and KPIs metrics and providing reporting to the IT Steering Committee on their performance. Provide structure and governance to system upgrades ensuring the use of SDLC methodology and change management processes.
  • Proactively develop a Cybersecurity program in conjunction with our risk management program.
  • As an internal control owner, act as lead in developing, maintaining, and documenting processes to ensure the timely and accurate completion of assigned operations verified by effective internal controls to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), legal, regulatory, and ISO9001 requirements.
  • Proactively improve PSI’s employees, customers, and vendors understanding of how to leverage technology to support their operations and needs. Guide the development and management of processes and training for onboarding new employees, contractors, vendors, and customers, improving business unit specific training on Epicor system processes and features, and initiating facilitation of Kaizen events for improved efficiency.
  • Keep abreast of new EPICOR releases and applications and present opportunities for improvement to the business units.
  • Monitor the integrity of Epicor and the data it stores as well as other key IT systems for PSI.
  • Manage a system to be sure the IT team is providing on call technical support during off hours as needed and directly manage mission critical or escalated situations.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT, Computer Science, or MIS
  • IT leadership in a U.S. public company environment, ideally a manufacturing entity
  • Demonstrated business process knowledge, continuous improvement, and change management experience enhanced by broad knowledge of the manufacturing industry, including industry best practices and trends
  • Successfully Project Management experience with of a complex ERP implementation with multiple site configuration set up including integration methodology and ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues
  • Subject matter expertise in the implementation, configuration, and support of Epicor and the data, processes, and reports it provides

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership of IT function while developing, implementation, and testing of a systems, processes, and internal controls related to IT and the data stored on the systems it manages to support SEC and SOX compliance
  • In depth business knowledge of other functional areas, such as sales, procurement, supply chain, HR, manufacturing, engineering, and or finance/ accounting and how to translate that knowledge into improved IT governance
  • Experienced leader of a multi-location Windows server/SQL Server/ VPN infrastructure with high network availability and responsive end user support
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principals, Kaizen, and ISO 9001
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with the automotive industry a plus
  • Strong leadership, organizational, coordination, facilitation, consultation and conflict resolution skills
  • Has experience in domestic and international markets within IT and other functional areas
