Position Overview

Under the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President of Health Analytics role is responsible for developing the overall architecture, design, development, and strategy for the Health Analytics team. This position manages, designs, and conducts quantitative analyses on a wide range of health care delivery and quality issues. The Vice President of Health Analytics will thrive in a fast-paced environment and serve as the expert on healthcare trends, predictive modeling methodologies, bench-marking and interpretation of data, innovative payment methods, program evaluation, quality metrics and analytic modeling. Successful candidates have a background in analytics, statistics, predictive modeling as well as experience using multiple data sources including claims, encounter, administrative, and/or survey data.

Job Description

  • Manage and oversee the Analytics & Reporting Department in providing healthcare analytics, operation reporting, regulatory reporting, and vendor data process management.
  • Collaborate with other business and technical areas within the organization, design and develop corporate analytics data architecture and strategy.
  • Participate implementation of new technology, new products, and new processes that the organization deploys.
  • Ensure the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of regulatory encounter data submission and perform data analysis to monitor encounter data quality.
  • Identify trends, analytical insights, and clinical and financial opportunities for various areas within the organization.
  • Provide operation data and reporting support to various business units within the organization.
  • Manage and oversee data exchange with external entities to support various business function of the organization.
  • Provide data support and reporting in response to various auditing from government agencies.
  • Responsible for overseeing all reporting including utilization, trend, and membership dashboards ensuring accuracy and user-friendly format.
  • Supervise health analytics, database development and reporting development projects of the Analytics and Reporting Department.
  • Develop policies and procedures for the operation of the Analytics & Reporting Department.
  • Handle the Core System evolution ensuring integration of data and continuity of accurate reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in clinical sciences, pharmacy, or quantitative based field such as: Statistics, Mathematics, Public Health or Health Services, Decision Science, Health Economics
  • 10+ years of analytic experience with healthcare data
  • 7+ years of experience developing and managing quantitative projects
  • 7+ years of experience that demonstrated analytical ability to derive actionable insights from data findings
  • Excellent leadership skills, requires minimum 7 years direct management experience of healthcare analytic team
  • Experience in health insurance products, health care operation and health care data analytics and reporting
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge in database management in SQL Server environment, strong development skills in T-SQL, SSIS and SSAS.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge in analytics and reporting tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of source code development tools and data warehousing technology.
  • Experience in communicating to a C-suite audience and ability to drive consensus on complex, controversial issues
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and execution of complex data process, reporting and analytic projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $215,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
