Summary:

The VP, Management Services Organization (MSO) is responsible for managing and directing functions of a medical practice management services organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, and direct the day-to-day functions of the MSO to support provider practice growth, patient satisfaction, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the value-based care team and build workflows that optimize health plan reimbursement.
  • Develop and oversee all MSO reporting and budgeting processes, including profit and loss responsibility of each physician practice.
  • Document standard processes, protocols, training, and policies that deliver best-in-class service, collaborating closely with clinical leaders and other resources as needed for expertise.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders on projects, initiatives, and practice operations that transition their practices to models for population health and outcomes based excellence.
  • Business development, including scaling current service offering, and new product development/lines of business.
  • Responsible for overseeing the strategic execution and performance of end-to-end revenue cycle functions and optimizing RCM metrics.
  • Maintains working knowledge of healthcare regulations and health plan policies to ensure compliance for all lines of business (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, Exchange) and in all operating states.
  • Monitors regulatory and health plan audit results to identify and address any adverse trends.
  • Establishes and monitors internal quality assurance audit processes as a part of continued operational improvements.
  • Ability to assess target physician practices, including identifying areas of strength/weakness, and opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Supplies operational expertise and guidance on potential acquisitions, projects, and systems.
  • Lead and attract top talent, motivate, assess, train, and manage performance to achieve highest and best use of talent.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or other industry-related field. MBA, or Masters-Degree is preferred in healthcare, or other related fields of study.
  • Ten (10) years of industry-related experience including three (3) in a senior leadership position.
  • Leadership experience of people, programs, and resources.

Physical Requirements

  • This job operates in a professional office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Normal manual dexterity is required.
  • Normal speaking and hearing abilities to interact with others in an office environment, over telephone or other video conferencing platform.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms and continuously repeat the same hand, arm finger motion many times as in typing.
