Location: Malvern, PA or West Reading, PA - coming into the office on a hybrid basis. The position does have the option for being fully remote, on the east coast.
Role Summary:
The BSA Third Party Supervision Officer maintains oversight of the Bank’s third parties with BSA/AML responsibilities to ensure full compliance with all Bank BSA, AML & OFAC policies. The person in this role will liaison directly with the third parties and report regulatory to the BSA Office on the status of compliance with Bank requirements. Responsibilities for this role include the following:
  • Review all BSA/AML & OFAC policies and procedures submitted by the third party to ensure alignment with Bank standards.
  • Ensure all Suspicious Activity Report referrals are reviewed and handled within departmental policy.
  • Perform periodic testing on AML alerts, Case investigations, No SAR decision and CIP processes performed by the third party.
  • Ensure compliance with 314a and legal requests as applicable.
  • Establish regular meetings with critical third parties to review issues, concerns or regulatory changes.
  • Maintain departmental procedures related to the supervision of BSA/AML third parties.
  • Facilitate the communication and collection of documentation related to written inquiries and exam requests.
  • Review supporting documentation pertaining to inquiries and exams for completeness and appropriateness.
  • Assist in the due diligence review of any new third parties as required.
  • Manage risk by escalating and notifying the BSA Officer of findings and/or corrective actions required, as appropriate. Assist in and monitor the enhancement of areas that have been identified with findings and/or corrective actions.
  • Manage expectations internally and externally regarding the oversight of third parties with BSA/AML and OFAC responsibilities.
  • Summarize and prepare reporting that communicates oversight activities and issues for the BSA Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and other Management Committees as required.
  • Complete special projects, as assigned.
Must-Haves:
  • Strong understanding of general bank products and services
  • 5+ years of experience in BSA/AML experience
  • Strong knowledge of BSA/AML policy and procedures
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, establishing cooperative and collaborative working relationships
  • CAMS certification
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience in banking, loan servicing or auditing
  • Detail oriented mindset, open to learning new applications & skills, can think outside of the box, verbal skills.
