Summary
The VP, Animal Nutrition is the top executive over the Animal Nutrition business group. The position’s essential contribution is to ensure the company meets its top-line growth and margin goals while meeting customer and consumer product expectations.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Leads the continued evolution of nutrition and feed products of the Company.
2. Responsible for developing and implementing overall long-term strategic sales plans including customer orientation, product optimization, and production capacity in order to meet or exceed company revenue, margin and earnings’ goals.
3. Share the brand identity and equity responsibilities with family ownership to protect its legacy of goodwill in the industry and to assure it is sustained for future generations.
4. Directs and oversees all business analysis used to make recommendations to Senior Leadership regarding next generation of products, services, etc.
5. Maximize sales and profitability by successfully managing extensive customer portfolio; develop strategy to increase potential revenue growth and implement customer business plans to ensure sales targets are met.
6. Supports new product research and development launches and provides feedback on established products and services to relevant internal departments.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent of a combination of years of experience and education in value added products or Ag Business industries.
Experience Requirements
15+ years leading a sales function with full P&L responsibility in agriculture or Ag Business Company.
Experience Preferred
Extensive experience in managing Joint Ventures and acquisitions.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require moving to other offices or buildings.
Frequent travel to customer sites and international travel is required.
