Experienced Veterinary Technician
VCA Laguna Niguel is a four-doctor general practice located in the the heart of beautiful Laguna Niguel. We offer wellness and sick appointments, general surgery, and dentistry. We are looking for an experienced and skilled RVT or Veterinary Assistant to join our awesome team!

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties may include:

• Maintaining medical records
• Obtaining medical histories and TPRs
• Filling prescriptions
• SQ, IV, IM injections
• Venipuncture & IV catheter placement
• Monitoring hospitalized patients
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
• Cleaning and maintaining the facility for safety and health
• Cleaning, sterilizing, and wrapping surgical packs
• Patient discharge
• Client communication and education
• Generation and review of treatment plans

Additional RVT Duties may include:

• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients
• Anesthestic induction, intubation, anesthesia monitoring of surgical patients, and surgical assisting
• Dental radiographs, cleaning, and charting

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $18 to $25 per hour.

Schedule: Full-time desired (30-40 hours per week). Sundays are required.
8-hour shifts between 7:30AM and 6:30PM

• High school or equivalent (Required)

• Veterinary Technician: 2 years (Required)
