Overview

This position will work under the supervision of our Veterinarian, hospital manager, and inventory manager to run the day to day operations of the pharmacy within the established polices and guidelines of the Pharmacy Department.

Responsibilities

• Fills patient medications under the authorization of prescribing veterinarians.
• Helps to maintain pharmacy stock by noting pharmacy inventory and stock usage.
• Maintains the general appearance of the pharmacy area (i.e. Faces shelves, cleans counters).
• Checks for and pulls expired medications from inventory.
• Count and order inventory
• Codes and labels incoming pharmacy product.
• Assist in maintaining medication inventory logs
• Assists in cleaning exam rooms.

As well as other tasks mutually agreed upon by Pharmacy Technician and supervisors.

Qualifications

Required

• High School diploma

Preferred but not required

• Current and valid State of NJ Pharmacy Technician License
• CVT
• CVA

The salary range for this position is $17 - $20 / hour based on experience, education and certifications.
