Zero-Point Organics is a rapidly growing farm that specializes in microgreens, culinary herbs, and edible flowers. Located in Hempstead, ZPO is year-round operation that supplies many of the top restaurants in the Houston metropolitan area and College Station/Bryan.

Position Overview: Learning about the many benefits and applications of microgreens and teaching others. Responsible for product education and selling at farmers markets and pop-ups. Assist in harvesting.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identifying different crops and flowers and learning proper harvesting and packaging procedures for microgreens and flowers.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly workstation.
• Preparing for farmers markets.
• Assisting in harvesting.

Supporting Tasks:

• Spot check crops for moisture levels (ex. overwater/underwater).
• Monitor crop quality to ensure that crops meet the high standards ZPO has set.
• Water/weed/fertilize outdoor crops as needed.

Requirements:

• May occasionally require lifting up to 50lbs.
• Be available to work weekends.
• Have reliable transportation and be able to arrive on schedule.
• Be motivated and engaged team player with friendly outgoing personality.
• Must have no problem going up and down ladders.
• Being able to work in energetic and occasional fast paced environment.
• Treat all employees and guests with courtesy and respect.
• Be able to work outside in different weather conditions at times.
• Background check.

Hours:

Days are Monday through Friday with frequent weekends. Hours can fluctuate depending on volume of orders. This is an entry level hourly position. Starting pay is $11-$13/hr with opportunity for growth. Additional commission for sales at farmers markers.

This is an entry-level, hourly paid position at a start-up. Bi-monthy pay. $11-13/hr
