Vehicle Claim Specialist

The Vehicle Claim Specialist **will be responsible for interfacing with store and field personnel regarding claims for material damage resulting from our service, or any issues with services. The ideal candidate will have active listening, & critical thinking skills and at least 2 or more years of automobile property damage claims experience, which includes negotiating with vendors or other service providers, repair shops and guest. They must also be detail oriented, as time management & Social Perceptiveness are important in order to be successful at this role.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to**

  • Respond to warranty allegations while the vehicle was in our custody, issues with services performed, all claims of automobile damage resulting from our service
  • Interface with store and field personnel regarding claim for material damage
  • Due diligence investigations into facts surrounding warranty claim
  • Interface with the guest alleging the warranty claim issue
  • Negotiate with vendors or guests based upon objective evidence of claim for damage
  • Send correspondence to vendors or guests regarding warranty claims
  • Defend denied claims up through and including small claims court, coordinate with defense counsel as needed, assist field with issues pertaining to warranty defense
  • Make referral to our claim’s administrator for large loss warranty issues

Position Criteria and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of automobile property damage claims experience, which includes negotiating with vendors or other service providers, repair shops and guests.
  • General automotive knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance required.
  • Previous automotive repair shop experience greatly preferred.

  • Computer Skills: Ability to learn and utilize proprietary computer programs
  • Dependable: Adhere to established timelines and deliverables, moving claim towards resolution
  • Flexible: Ability to multitask and work within established guidelines for claims processes

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Relative degree from an accredited university
