ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Utility Worker (Dishwasher) performs several kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies.

Qualifications

YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE YOU WILL…

• Perform under the direction of supervisory personnel, dish and pot washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies.

• Set up the dish and pot washing area.

• Prepare for dish washing and washes pots, dishes, and utensils.

• Distribute and store clean pots, dishes, and utensils.

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.

• Empty trash containers as required.

• Maintain standards for personal appearance and cleanliness.

• Maintain safe and sanitary conditions.

• Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.

• Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

• Can work in a quick variance of hot and cold temperatures from ovens to freezers.

• Can carry up to 50 lbs. independently and be able to push and pull bus/tray carts.

• Can bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday.

• Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.

• Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.

• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

• Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
