United States Space Force (USSF) Signals Analyst, Mid to Senior, Dayton Ohio

The mid to senior satellite signals and data analyst will be an integral part of a highly dynamic team and will support the analytic and development activities within the USSF Space Superiority missions. The selected candidate will assist in requirements management and perform signals analysis by using customer tools and databases to investigate, characterize, measure parameters, collect metrics, and assess signal usage and behavior. The analyst will work closely with developers, teammates, and other subject matter experts to develop a fuller understanding of the intent, objectives, and capabilities of specific systems. The analyst will support teams at geographically separated locations in the performance of their duties.

Required/Desired Skills:

• US Citizen with active TS/SCI security clearance, successful polygraph required
• Minimum 5 years performing signal analysis
• Knowledge of satellite systems and methods and processes for operation, command and control
• Experience with waveform design/application to include digital and analog modulations
• Experience performing bit-level analysis of information bearing signals
• Experience using signals analysis tools (e.g. Martes, DVT, WVT, Matlab, X-MIDAS, etc) and other specialized tool suites
• Data processing using mapping tools, algorithms, intelligence reports and display tools
• Experience with formatted digital signals found in military C4ISR, civil, industrial, commercial, and personal applications and links, conveying information derived from sensors and/or control systems
• Deep understanding in the theory and implementation of SATCOM protocols, systems and standards
• Prior experience training military/staff on these signals and tools
• Design and maintain training manuals and programs for signals analysts
• Working knowledge of Linux based computer systems
• Lead and participate in preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews for software product development
• Familiar with analog RF links/environment
• Familiar with IP network transport and protocols
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be willing and able to travel, as required

Education/Certification: BA/BS desired or relevant work experience/history

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance and be SAP/SAR eligible day 1

Salary Range: 103k to 118k plus annual benefits compensation of 13.8k, plus 401k, annual bonuses, annual profit-sharing plan, paid time off

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $98,000.00 - $118,000.00 per year
