The Used Equipment Inspector is responsible for the inspection of various types of equipment, completing equipment condition reports, performing basic maintenance tasks, and testing the safety and operational capabilities of equipment, including conducting ANSI required inspections as needed.

(Must reside within 30 minutes from the Great Bend, KS. Foley Location)
Starting Compensation $50k/yr. +

Job duties:

• Performs detailed field inspections on trade-in heavy equipment, equipment purchases, consignments, warranty inspections, and other business needs
• Operates and inspects equipment to diagnose operating condition, wear, damage, etc.
• Completes ANSI required inspections on aerial equipment
• Prepares inspection forms, conducts research, and provides detailed descriptions for others in the department to establish equipment market values
• Captures videos and photos for advertising needs
• Being extremely safety conscious with the willingness to help in other areas of the shop and yard when required
• Regularly inspects current inventory and notifies managers of needed repairs
• Attend, and participate in, required sales meetings, trade shows, and required training
• Extensive travel throughout territory. Occasional overnight travel

• High school diploma, some college in business or related field is preferred
• Repair and diagnostic experience with heavy equipment
• Some experience operating heavy equipment
• Excellent customer relations and communication skills, ability to maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and customers

• Working knowledge of CAT equipment and other makes of machinery
