Our team is looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a member of a growing Agile team supporting the design and development of mission critical applications for the space community as a member of Parsons’ Space Operations Directorate. You will work with system operators, software engineers, and space analysts to ensure the usability of software that is being developed for space tracking and surveillance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with users to develop screen designs appropriate for their daily job responsibilities.

• Assist in the development of training plans and documentation.

• Instruct end-users on system operation.

• Collaborate with engineers to identify technical obstacles to implementing an ideal design and arriving at functionally equivalent capabilities that can be implemented.

• Assist with government run system testing or formal events as a training adviser.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline and 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design. Additional experience, applicable training and/or certifications may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.

• This role requires onsite work 2-3 days a week.

• Understanding of the different types and categories of web user interface design.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.

• Experience with screen design tools (e.g., Balsamiq, Figma).

• Experience with ideation tools (e.g., Lucid Spark).

• Experience creating storyboards.

• Ability to keep up with emerging web design trends and technologies.

• Ability to work with other designers to utilize and develop a set of common user interface standards.

• Self-starter with a strong work ethic that works well with others and who can thrive in a fast-paced environment employing Agile methodologies.

• Must have an active Secret security clearance.

• Ability to work remotely and travel regularly to customer locations.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in developing product training materials.

• Experience training system users in either group or one-on-one settings.

• Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

• Security+ Certification.

Salary Range:

$100,400.00 - $175,700.00
