The Truck Loader is responsible for loading trucks with product safely and efficiently. You will ensure correct product and quantity are loaded on the the right truck while operating power equipment safely.

Jun - Jan: Monday- Friday 5:30 a.m.-- 2:00 p.m.

Feb - Mar: Sunday-Thursday 2:30 a.m.-- 10:00 a.m.

Apr - May: Sunday- Friday 5:30 a.m.-- 2:00 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads trucks in sequence based on delivery schedule and routing using load bars, bungees, straps to ensure a secure delivery of carts and pallets of product
• Inspects equipment for safety issues and turns on single and dual temp trailers refrigerator units at the proper times
• Distributes finished load sheets to the dispatcher, and to the driver
• Reports any discrepancies in trolley/pallet counts, missing plants, or unsound pallets to management
• Communicate in an effective & professional manner with appropriate PVG staff and customers
• Safely operate the equipment necessary (cages, load bars, straps, pallet jacks, maps, and GPS units)
• Keep vehicles and dock area clean
• Inform appropriate team member of equipment and vehicle problems

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to pass a DOT medical exam for medical card
• Must be able to maneuver up to 150 lbs.
• Have a solid work ethic and ability to work under pressure
• Responsible, well organized, self-starter and able to work independently.
• Possesses professional appearance and effective interpersonal and communications skills
• Possesses excellent time management, planning, decision making, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with employees and management
• Flexibility to work the hours necessary to meet the needs of Pleasant View customers which may include overtime hours, daily and/or weekend. (Routinely during the company’s peak season)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
