Job Description: This is a traveling CNA 1099 Contractor position. CNA’s must be willing to travel long-distances throughout the US, excluding Hawaii and Alaska, for several days and/or weeks at a time.

Job Purpose: The primary responsibility of the “traveling CNA” is to provide compassionate patient care throughout the duration of transport.

Job Responsibilities:

• Completes all required documentations, of all patient care administered
• Conduct a face-to-face patient evaluation with nurse/caregiver or family member in charge of patient’s care at both pick up and drop off
• Keep patient and family areas neat and clean
• Check patient vitals regularly
• Assist patient with feeding
• Change patient undergarments
• Assist patient with using bathroom and emptying catheters
• Check blood sugar levels
• Monitor Oxygen (O2) levels
• Administer prescribed medications to patient
• Conduct inventory of medical supplies and equipment; report supply shortages and equipment malfunctions to lead driver and the main office.
• Keep family informed of patient’s condition throughout the trip and allow them to communicate with patient
• Accommodate needs of family members if accompanied
• Uphold and carry out company office policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Current CPR certified
• Medication Administration Certification
• Current driver’s license
• Minimum 1 yr experience in patient care giving
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Must be able to travel and stay on the road for multiple days

Compensation and Benefits:

• *1099 Contractor position*
• Daily meal per diems
• Travel and accommodation expenses are covered (As needed)
